Hotel Maintenance
Shift differential available for 2nd shift
Perform on demand and prevenative maintenance repairs for all guest rooms, kitchen areas and public areas at Chula Vista including the adjacent employee housing buildings.
Reports to Maintenance Manager.
- Repairs may include plumbing, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, and carpentry.
- Respond to work orders as assigned in and complete them per SOP in property's digital work order system.
- Makes daily prevenative maintenance inspections.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of HVAC equipment, appliances, elevators, fire alarm system, door lock system, electrical and related systems.
- Respond and perform duties in a timely and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of safety requirements is a MUST- operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
- Assist to oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel's guest rooms.
- Display a calm and attentive approach in solving problems and handling difficult situation, collecting information and sincerely helping to resolve them.
- Determine, communicate, and monitor personal and department achievements and performance standards on a daily basis.
- Skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job, operation of equipment, and adhere to safety practices.
- Ability to work with a digital work order system on a hand-held device.
- The ability to work under limited supervision and able to communicate with other staff positions is important.
- Must be able to follow instructions to learn position.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be in good physical condition.
- Must be able to lift and carry minimum of 50 lbs.
