We are seeking a skilled Beverage Host to join our team at Chumash Enterprises. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by offering beverages, taking beverage orders, and processing payment transactions. You will interact with guests, anticipate their needs, and respond to general inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will circulate designated beverage service sections, greet guests, announce your presence, and offer complimentary beverages and those for sale to resort guests.
- Deliver prompt, friendly, professional, and responsive guest service, using proper greeting and departure phrases and service standards established by Food and Beverage management.
- Obtain guests' beverage orders and serve them accordingly.
- Provide guests with drink options while upselling extended beverage menu offerings.
- Communicate with beverage management to provide appropriate levels of service to top-tiered Club Chumash players.
- Enter beverage orders into the point-of-sale system to ensure accurate preparation and tracking of product and inventory.
- Use the POS system to redeem Loyalty points for guests.
- Generate beverage checks and process payments as applicable.
- Assist with bussing cocktail tables and other beverage areas as needed.
- Maintain RBS parameters on service of alcoholic beverages, identifying guests showing signs of intoxication and informing supervisors or managers with any concerns.
- Complete all opening, running, and closing duties.
- Maintain knowledge of specialty cocktails, liquor brands, beer, and wine available at the casino bar.
- Address guests' concerns and resolve issues as appropriate and according to policy/procedures, involving management as needed.
- Provide information on resort amenities, events, promotions, etc. to increase levels of guest service.
- Maintain knowledge of the casino floor layout, beverage service sections, and boundaries, as well as resort amenities.
- Comply with tip reporting and handling procedures.

Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older to sell or serve distilled spirits; however, team members under 21 but at least 18 years of age may sell or serve beer and wine in non-gaming areas.
- Must register in the RBS Portal, take training from an authorized RBS Training Provider, and pass the ABC Alcohol Server Certification exam within 30 days of employment.
- Must successfully complete ServSafe within 30 days of employment.
- Previous experience in guest services is preferred.
- Previous beverage serving experience, including alcohol, is also preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet is required.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends, is essential.
- Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
- Native American hiring preference applies.
