Overview
Responsible and accountable for the operations of the Cage/Vault during the assigned shift. Assists in training new Team Members as assigned, prepares reports, oversees Title 31 enforcement and reporting activities, and recommends changes in Cage/Vault procedures as needed.
Responsibilities
- Responds to guest inquires and concerns.
- Interfaces with other departments as necessary, in a positive and professional manner.
- Supervises activity and maintains security and accountability of company funds located in the Cage/Vault during a shift.
- Assists in training new Team Members as assigned.
- Maintains an orderly and positive working environment.
- Participates in the performance evaluations of Team Members. Recommends coaching for improved performance actions as needed.
- Assists in the investigation of variances.
- Prepares reports as required.
- Oversees Title 31 enforcement and reporting activities.
- Recommends changes in Cage/Vault procedure.
- Assists Cage/Vault Cashiers as required.
- Trains, mentors, develops, coaches, resolves problems, provides open communication vehicles, and recommends disciplinary actions as appropriate.
- Builds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Two years of experience in casino Cage/Vault operations preferred.
- Previous experience in hospitality and/or sales.
- Ability to successfully pass a basic math assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform cash handling operations using units of American money.
- Basic knowledge of business and accounting systems and methods.
- Basic knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is required.
- Basic proficiency in computers, including Microsoft Office and database applications, e-mail, and Internet.
- Basic proficiency in 10-key and other office equipment.
- Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
- Native American hiring preference applies.
