Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced environment. You will assist customers with their inquiries, process orders, and ensure that their needs are met efficiently and effectively. An understanding of agriculture and outdoor power equipment and services is preferred, as well as the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Duties
- Assist customers online, on the phone, and in person.
- Greet customers warmly and help them with their inquiries regarding products and services.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Help answer the phones and ensure calls are directed to the proper department or employee.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, ensuring excellent phone etiquette at all times.
- Look up parts on the computer through online manufacturer parts books.
- Use our business software system to check our inventory, give customers prices, and create invoices and orders.
- Take customers through the parts purchasing process by collecting payment and closing the counter invoices.
- Unload freight shipments and check in ordered parts daily to ensure parts get to customers and our service department in a timely manner.
- Call or text customers to let them know when their ordered parts have arrived.
- Place ordered parts for the Service Department in the specific bin for a work order to ensure the parts get to the right technician.
- Keep the showroom, parts department, and parts warehouse clean and orderly.
- Assist with preparing, maintaining, and stocking merchandise displays including oils and lubricants.
- Promote and sell products and/or services to meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience from order placement to fulfillment.
- Continuously complete necessary training to increase knowledge and skills related to the job.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills to look up parts and create invoices.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing cash register operations.
- Willingness to continuously learn is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset are crucial for success in this role.
- Familiarity with agriculture and outdoor power equipment diagnostics is a plus but not mandatory
- Previous experience in a dealership or parts sales environment is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
