Church and Union Charleston is looking for a server to join our dynamic team.
Location: Charleston, SC
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time
Compensation: $2.13 per hour plus tips, training is $10 per hour
Ideal candidates with need to be knowledgeable, works well in a high-volume and fast paced environment, and has a polite and friendly attitude. We’re looking for people that have a willingness to learn the details of our continually evolving menu, work with other service staff as a tight-knit team while implementing our “There Is Only We” company culture, and have a passion for interacting with guests.
Responsibilities include:
· Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order adhering to steps of service
· Complete and comprehensive knowledge of the a la carte menus is mandatory, including daily features, wine, beer, and craft cocktails.
· Answer questions or make recommendations about our food and beverage menu specific to guest experience
· Take orders, issue bills, and accept payment using our POS system
· Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff to ensure guest satisfaction
Requirements include:
· Friendly, hospitable, and professional demeanor
· A willingness to continually elevate service standards and desire to improve personal food and beverage knowledge is required.
· Organized, quick thinking, and adept at multitasking.
· Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
· Experience in fine dining/upscale dining.
· Knowledge of health codes and food safety rules
