GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Quality Assurance Supervisor & Analyst is responsible for overseeing daily QA operations, ensuring food safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis. This role supervises QA Technicians, supports HACCP and GMP programs, and evaluates food safety trends to enhance quality assurance processes. While relocation is not required, this position may involve occasional travel to Yuma, AZ based on business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervise QA Technicians, ensuring adherence to HACCP, GMP, Organic Integrity, and food safety standards.
- Lead pre-operational inspections, GMP checks, ATP testing, and environmental monitoring programs.
- Maintain HACCP documentation, verify corrective actions, and oversee product hold and release procedures.
- Ensure QA database accuracy, reviewing reports for compliance and corrective actions.
- Train and mentor QA Technicians, providing ongoing education on SOPs, FSMA regulations, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with production, receiving, and sanitation teams to address food safety and quality deviations.
- Support mock recalls and traceability exercises to maintain regulatory compliance.
