Warehouse Coordinator/Forklift Operator
I. Job Purpose/Summary - Provides warehouse support to the Warehouse Supervisor and load building operation. Is responsible for maintaining an orderly work area in the Select Hardwood’s warehouse. Helps handle the flow of lumber in/out of the warehouses and support the forklift operations needed to build, organize and load outbound shipments.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operates a forklift safely and effectively.
2. Build and stage outbound loads prior to shipment.
3. Keep lumber inventory organized inside the warehouses.
4. Assist Select Hardwoods team with quarterly and yearly cycle counts.
5. Prepare outbound loads with the proper dunnage and runners needed for safe shipment
6. Execute ad-hoc warehouse projects as needed.
7. Coordinate with management and office staff on prioritizing outbound loads.
8. Follows policies and procedures of Church & Church Lumber Company/Select Hardwoods as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
9. Other duties may be assigned that are not specifically identified within the content of the job description.
10. Electronically monitor current orders and inventory to best prioritize shipment and fill out standing orders.

1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
2. Ability to compose concise e-mails with the intent of sharing operational information with management and office staff.
3. Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction and division.
4. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with load changes based on customer needs.
5. Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook with the ability to keep track of current orders and inventory.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1. Forklift experience required
2. Warehouse and inventory experience required
