Job Overview

Job Qualifications
Experience in choir and cantor direction, strong accompanist and vocal skills, ability to work with adults, teens, and children, strong familiarity with Catholic liturgy, and moderate computer skills
Duties
· Provides music for 2 Masses in English and coordinates with Latino Music Ministry for bilingual Masses
· Directs adult choir rehearsals September- Pentecost
· Directs Teen and Cherub choir rehearsals as scheduled and in coordination with the faith formation director
· Provides music for funerals, weddings, Holy Days, and other scheduled Masses and events as directed by the Pastor
· Recruits additional musicians for special Masses
· Grows current music program
· Hires and directs music accompanists
· Finds and schedules replacements when not present
· Recruits, trains, and schedule cantors as needed
· Directs/schedules Corn Days music, Advent program, and the Festival of Music
· Sets up numbers, microphones and operates the sound system
· Works with ALM (Association of Liturgical Ministers), the Office of Worship, and Pastor for directives and initiatives in sacred music.
· Other tasks as assigned by the Pastor
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $27,000.00 - $31,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
