Barista II/Facilities Assistant
This position is with Band of Brothers, a ministry of Church on the Rock. The Barista II position at Band of Brothers is crucial to the success of our vision and mission in the community. The Barista is often the first impression and “face” of Band of Brothers to those we serve. It is vital that the Barista II understands, aligns with, and promotes the vision and mission of Band of Brothers first and foremost both personally and professionally. The Barista II position will assist in maintaining the facility and grounds with support of the Managing Director. The Barista II is accountable to the Managing Director of Band of Brothers and must fulfill their duties in line with the Band of Brothers mission, vision, and values.

RESPONSIBLE TO:
- The Managing Director of Band of Brothers
PURPOSE:
The Barista II is responsible for:
- Providing exceptional coffee and food services
- Creating a friendly and inviting environment that serves the mission of Band of Brothers
- Caring for customers in a respectful and Christ-like manner.
- Maintaining the facility and grounds with support of the Managing Director
- Supporting the Barista I position.
- Maintaining a professional and clean ministry environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Barista II must;
- Be a born-again Christian, living a Spirit-led life in adherence to the Bible.
- Be in agreement with Church on the Rock’s Statement of Faith and the Moral and Ethical Statement on Human Sexuality.
- Provide a letter of reference from a pastor to show good standing in a local church.
- This position requires a male candidate, 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of the role and its requirements.
- Speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents.
- Converse comfortably with customers.
- Have the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
- Have the capacity to maintain the facility and grounds, including climbing ladders and lifting and carrying weights over 25 pounds.
- Be proficient in operating the Point-of-Sale system and accurately handling money.
- Customer service- 1 year experience preferred
- Coffee and espresso service experience- 1 year experience preferred
- Alaska Food Handlers card required

TIME REQUIREMENTS:
- 32 hours full time, with up to an additional 8 hours per week for special events or activities
- Will work two Saturdays and two Mondays per month on a rotational basis.
• Vacation and leave time as allotted in the “COTR Personnel Handbook.”
SALARY & COMPENSATION:
• $15.50 per hour plus tips
