Job Description : Principal Function :

Principal Function :

Assume a personal responsibility for the Christian nurture of each child. Always maintain a clear line of supervision to all students, maintain a positive rapport with students by using positive communication techniques.

Create a safe learning environment for the children to learn and grow in their education and their spiritual walk.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain connections and schedules parent volunteer. Communicates the weekly study guide to the parents.
• Communicate behavior and health concerns to parents directly, as needed.
• Has an organized schedule and communicates to admin of any changes. Communicates lesson plans with principal.
• Maintain a positive rapport with students by using positive communication techniques.
• Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual / audio means to facilitate learning.
• Communicate with the students about in class or home assignments.
• Keep a positive tone when communicating needs or questions to all staff.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom.
• Plan and administer the program as outlined by the established curriculum.
• Assume a personal responsibility for the Christian nurture of each child.
• Present Lesson Plan Flow Charts to the principal weekly.
• Communicate to the teaching aides expectations for the class, if assigned.
• Update and maintain behavior reports, scatterplots, and ABC reports, as needed.
• Maintain a portfolio for each child, to include student work and surveys.
• Prepare progress reports, report cards action plans as well as schedule conferences.
• Submit academic referrals to begin student intervention process.
• Submit accurate referral and incident report forms if sending a student out of class.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree (in a related field preferred)
• Prefer one year experience as a teacher, aide or the equivalent in an a classroom
• Have computer skills necessary to perform basic duties
• Born-again, spirit filled Christian
• Attend The Rock Church and World Outreach Center on a committed, regular basis
