We are seeking a skilled and experienced finish carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing high-quality finish carpentry work on a variety of projects, including new construction, remodels, and renovations. The finish carpenter will work closely with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure that all work is completed on time and to the highest standards of quality.
Primary Duties:
- Install interior trim, including baseboards, crown molding, window casings, and door frames, built-ins, and other custom carpentry work according to specifications.
- Work with project managers to ensure that all work meets design specifications and project timelines to the satisfaction of clients.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians and plumbers, to ensure that all work is coordinated and completed efficiently.
- Erect scaffolding or ladders as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with building components and equipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all company and industry safety protocols.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and kept in good working order.
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finish carpentry.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other design documents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to use common hand tools and power tools.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and dust.
- Be able to pass drug test.
- Must have valid driver’s license and supply own transportation; travel required.
- Have small hand tools as required.
- Learn the position and basic responsibilities within 30 days.
