Construction Estimator

Churchill McGee LLC, a respected general contractor specializing in light commercial construction, has an immediate opening for an Estimator to lead our expanding work in the Central Kentucky area.

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Estimate costs for commercial construction projects.

·         Create and submit competitive bids on time.

·         Schedule project steps and budget time to meet deadlines.

·         Analyze project specs, drawings, and documentation for cost estimates.

·         Identify and communicate risks and opportunities.

·         Collaborate with project managers for estimate accuracy.

·         Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

·         Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits for information.

·         Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations.

·         Prepare and negotiate contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

·         5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.

·         Proficient in construction estimating software.

·         Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education and Other Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.

·         OSHA 10 certification (preferred).

·         Valid driver’s license and own transportation required.
