The VP of Sales is an executive role responsible for leading the sales department and setting strategic goals to drive sales growth and profitability. They oversee all sales operations, including the development and implementation of sales strategies, forecasting sales budgets, and managing key customer relationships. Additionally, they are tasked with building and leading a high-performing sales team, ensuring team performance aligns with company objectives. The VP of Sales also collaborates with other department heads to ensure the sales strategies align with the company's overall business goals.

Essential Role Responsibilities

  • Work directly with CEO to develop and translate vision and strategy into sales initiatives to drive sales growth and profitability
  • Own the vision, strategy, budget, and execution for all sales initiatives
  • ???????Create, define, and execute the sales strategy to deliver on growth plans
  • ???????Build and lead a high-performing sales team, ensuring team performance aligns with company objectives
  • ???????Continuously develop and evolve our presence to differentiate and elevate ChurnZero within the customer success sector
  • ???????Collaborate with other department heads to ensure sales strategies align with the company’s overall business goals
  • ???????Develop deep knowledge of sales strategies, market trends, and the competitive landscape. A desire to experiment and update modern sales processes, including using technology and AI.
  • ???????Speak and present both internally and externally to promote our story
  • ???????Partner closely with leadership across the organization to drive rapid growth

Experience Requirements

  • BA or BS degree
  • ???????7 years of sales leadership experience with a track record of driving rapid growth within B2B SaaS sales in highly competitive markets, ideally at companies with $20M revenue
  • ???????Demonstrable experience growing market share, scaling teams, and developing a foundation for consistent YOY growth
  • ???????Strong analytical, budgeting and modeling skills with an ability to build alignment and trust with data-driven decision making
  • ???????Leadership and people management skills with the ability to successfully inspire, lead, and scale teams in a fast-paced environment
  • ???????Excellent collaborator; ability to effectively build relationships and partner with cross-functional local and remote partners
  • ???????Experience collaborating with enterprise SaaS or B2B marketing and product teams
  • ???????Have experience recruiting from networks and other sources for AEs, SDRs, and SEs.
  • ???????Experience with SDR and AE strategy and team development, as well as leading Mid-Market and Enterprise focused teams
