Position Overview:
As a Pre-Litigation Attorney, you will work closely with clients and the litigation team to evaluate and develop cases, perform thorough investigations, and negotiate settlements. Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Evaluation: Review and assess potential personal injury claims to determine merit and develop case strategies
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to gather relevant information, provide updates, and explain legal processes
- Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations of claims, including obtaining medical records, accident reports, and witness statements
- Settlement Negotiation: Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing parties to secure favorable settlements for clients
- Documentation: Prepare and review necessary documents, including demand letters and settlement proposals, ensuring clarity and accuracy
- Collaboration: Work closely with the litigation team to ensure smooth transitions of cases to the litigation phase when necessary
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to ethical standards and legal regulations throughout all interactions and processes
Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensing: Licensed to practice law in Texas, with a strong grasp of personal injury and liability law
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in personal injury law or a related field, preferably with a focus on pre-litigation processes
- Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric approach
