Position: React Native Architect
Location: Bentonville, AR (Hybrid: 2 days per week in office from Day 1)
Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire (Conversion to permanent role in 6 months)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled React Native Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing and engineering cutting-edge mobile applications with distributed backend services. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead small project teams, provide technical guidance, and ensure the delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions. This role requires a strong background in React Native, mobile development, and software architecture, with a focus on driving innovation and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect mobile applications using React Native and distributed backend services.
- Define and enforce React Native and mobile development best practices.
- Develop and maintain mobile applications using HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, Jest, Redux, NodeJS, JSON, Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java, Android Studio, and Xcode.
- Design, build, and consume APIs and ensure seamless integration with backend systems.
- Lead the development of scalable, reusable, and platform-agnostic solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 10 years of software engineering experience (or 12 years of experience without a degree).
- Proven expertise in React Native and mobile app development.
- Strong understanding of API and service-level software design.
- Proficiency in React.js, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with microservices architecture, Kafka, SQL, CosmosDB, and Azure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a disciplined approach to development, testing, and documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align stakeholders and guide teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Full-stack development experience across the SDLC.
- Experience refactoring or redesigning existing applications.
- Passion for learning and adopting the latest technologies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and empower team members.
Job Type: Temp-to-hire
