Job Description
Pay Range: $68,640.00 - $72,800.00 / annually
The Fitness Manager (FM) owns the success of fitness programs, studios, and staff within their assigned club(s) by building a skillful team of fitness professionals and offering well-rounded fitness programming that is effective and appealing to a diverse membership base. As the club Fitness ambassador, the FM is a multi-formatted, knowledgeable resource to staff and members at Chuze.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Foster professional relationships with the team and maintain a strong team by recruiting and onboarding new Fitness talent
- Attend district and company-wide meetings, preparing presentation materials as needed
- Cultivate strong, professional rapport with members and establish community, managing member concerns with proficient conflict resolution and promoting consistent participation in all Fitness offerings and classes at Chuze
- Complete all onboarding and training materials before teaching and coaching, ensuring that you and the team maintain knowledge of all Chuze policies
- Participate in ongoing fitness industry education and maintain current credentials
- Establish and maintain strong cross-departmental relationships through communication and teamwork with the Operations and Maintenance staff
- Utilize the Fitness Communication Platform for essential communications, approving posted sub-requests, monitoring compliance, and sharing company updates
- Build an effective class schedule for the club and secure timely approval of Payroll cycles
- Provide sub coverage, if needed, to prevent class cancellations
- Maintain an understanding of current Key Performance Objectives (KPOs) using reporting, ensuring standards are met for club evaluations, budgets, and programming decisions, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiencies
- Influence Fitness Pros to go above and beyond Chuze standards by providing feedback and delivering coaching documents and performance reviews, fostering a culture of continuous growth

Essential Physical Requirements:
- Read, write, and speak clearly in English
- Sitting or standing for long periods
- Leading and performing high-intensity workouts
- Repetitive wrist, hand, and/or finger movements
- Typing and computer operations
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs

Experience
Required- Strong technological skills with the ability to operate basic Audio/Visual equipment
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality and build trust from others
- Teamwork-based mentality with the capacity to deliver and receive feedback
- Organized and accountable with the capacity to set and reach goals
- Capacity to multi-task and handle shifting priorities with attention to detail
- Ability to lead, motivate, and recruit a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work varied hours, weekends, and opening/closing shifts as needed
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 2 year(s): Fitness Professional with current certification (NASM, NSCA, or ACSM)
- 1 year(s): Management experience or equivalent industry work
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Bachelor's degree or continuing ongoing education
Licenses & Certifications
Preferred- CPR
