What you’ll do:
- Answer incoming calls for the Billing Department
- Responding to emails that are directed to the billing department, forwarding the emails to the appropriate person as needed.
- Answer questions, take messages and transfer calls to appropriate parties
- Medical Records, log all incoming requests, and respond to requests from families, providers and other agencies.
- Assist the billing department as needed with authorizations and billing
- Assist with printing claims and medical records
- Send, track and follow up on all No Surprise Act documentation
- Track monthly supply orders
- Basic filing and administrative duties
- Uphold CI Missions and values and follows CI policies & procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, processes manuals, and other internal documents/forms of communication.
- Maintain a clean and functional work space(s).
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Required Skills:
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Strong, professional and adaptable communication skills
- Collaborative when appropriate, yet able to independently complete responsibilities

- Knowledge of reimbursement practices, medical termination and health insurance
- Experience with using medical billing software
- Efficient problem solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to conduct research and identify steps required to resolve issues and follow through to completion
- Demonstrate continued dedication to CI, position expectations, and team members.
- Maintain an up to date CPR certification.
- Energized by helping people and seeing the positive impact of your efforts
- Working knowledge of procedure and diagnosis coding
- This position takes patience and determination along with empathy and the drive to want to help the families get what is best for their child.
Working Conditions:
- Clinic/office setting: Ability to work up to 20% of work week from home
- Occasional travel required
- Working Hours generally fall between 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday.
- Full-time only
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to move individuals and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be physically able to work around small children including sitting, standing, running, bending, etc.
