We're growing fast and seeking a talented, motivated Senior Project Manager to join our team. You'll play a crucial role in project planning and execution, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement while working with technical teams that design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to drive data analytics and machine learning solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

- Project Planning and Execution: Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Databricks projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery aligned with client objectives.

- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, facilitating clear communication and managing expectations throughout the project.

- People Allocation and Management: Coordinate people effectively, ensuring the right skills and expertise are applied to each project phase.

- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Proactively identify project risks and develop actionable mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.

- Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), providing stakeholders with regular updates and reports on project progress and outcomes.

- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to ensure alignment in project goals and technical execution.

- Post-Project Support: Facilitate client training sessions and provide ongoing support to ensure the successful adoption and utilization of Databricks solutions.

- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Evaluate project outcomes and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices for future projects.

Requirements for this challenge:

- Solid experience with project management in a technology or consulting environment, with a focus on data analytics or data engineering projects.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) is a plus.

- Technical Proficiency: Understanding of Databricks, Apache Spark, SQL, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

- Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong grasp of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).

- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, both in English and Portuguese, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Nice to Have:

- Industry Knowledge: Experience in industries such as retail and consumer packaged goods, finance, or healthcare, with an understanding of their specific data challenges.

- Team Leadership: Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile project management practices and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).

- Networking Skills: Established connections within the Databricks or broader data engineering community.
