Overview:
Work Hours and Benefits: This position is designed to be 20-25 hours per week. There is an option for this to be a full time position. PECO offers 12 paid holidays (if falling on scheduled work days), Medical, HSA, Dental, 401k, Life Insurance, Paid Family Leave and NYS Short-term Disability. Vacation is also offered for part-time employees over 20 hours per week. Our work hours are flexible between the hours of 7:30am – 5:00pm. If appropriate, select days could be remote.
Salary range: $27.00-$33.00 hr. depending on skills and experience

- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash flow management.
- Lead month-end financial reporting processes, including reconciliations and report generation for the President and Board of Directors.
- Conduct quality control and ensure accuracy of work completed by support staff.
- Lead payment processing and ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
- Manage special projects as directed by the President, including finance technology implementations and financial forecasting.
- Collaborate with peers to ensure smooth cross-departmental coordination.
- Maintain up-to-date cash flow reports and support coordination for communication with external CPA firms.
- Support policy and procedure creation and updates to align with company goals.
- Monitor and evaluate cost control measures and contribute to the management of 5-year financial projections.
- Cross-training to support all facets of PECO’s operations, sales, customer service, and office operations (working as a team and covering for one another).

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar major is recommended
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance
- Experience with ERP systems (we use Acumatica, but people experienced with QuickBooks online and other similar platforms will be able to adapt)
