Days and Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic level carpentry and light repair work.
- Assist with basic level assignment that Constructs and renovates facilities.
- Maintain work space by cleaning, organizing tools, and painting.
- Grounds keeping to maintain overall appearance of the facility.
- Perform basic level projects as assigned by the Facilities Team Leader
- Other non-essential duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards to which Fair Rite is certified
- Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the Fair-Rite Safety and Health Policy.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, walk, use arms and hands to reach and frequent use of ladders. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently. Physical endurance needed to work in active environment. Visual criteria: must be able to see and distinguish non-conformities in our parts and products, i.e., chips, cracks, pull-outs, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum Education / Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in residential and / or commercial carpentry
- Requires a valid NYS Driver’s License
Preferred Education / Experience Requirements:
- Vocational / Technical Education or Technical Training Certificate
- Landscaping experience – operating weed whacker, lawn mower, hedge trimmers etc…
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to read and write
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to operate FMX system
- PC / Computer skills are recommended
- Must be able to drive utility cart
- Must be able to drive a forklift
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to use independent judgment and discretion
- Dependability is extremely important
