What You'll Be Doing

As a member of CIBC’s team, the Senior Consultant, Client Effectiveness is a seasoned expert responsible for enhancing operational efficiency and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across US Private Wealth Management. This role focuses on translating complex initiatives and changes into actionable insights that empower staff to understand and engage with organizational goals effectively.

By collaborating closely with frontline teams and others, the Senior Consultant will identify barriers to understanding and provide tailored support that encourages participation in improvement initiatives. Additionally, the consultant will gather and analyze feedback from frontline staff to ensure that their voices are heard and integrated into ongoing improvement efforts. By building strong relationships and fostering a collaborative environment, this role will drive engagement and alignment, ultimately contributing to the overall effectiveness and success of the organization.

The Senior Consultant, Client Effectiveness exercises considerable judgment for decision-making on complex issues, researching relevant data and developing proposals and recommendations as well as resources needed to execute the work. The role analyzes situations and data using in-depth evaluation of intangibles with minimal precedent, preparing and presenting roadmap progress, issues, and recommendations for resolution to internal business partners and executives.

The role provides innovative, original ideas, accountable to broadly defined policy objectives, championing CIBC values and providing support in a manner consistent with the highest quality standards and objectives.

How You'll Succeed

  • Organizational Communication: Within the Private Wealth line of business, develop, implement and maintain business line communication strategies that promote awareness and understanding of continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged in the process. Facilitate open and transparent communication channels between Private Wealth leadership teams, business partners, and frontline employees. Provide regular updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders ensuring that all communication is aligned with CIBC values and objectives. Create and manage internal distribution lists that facilitate internal line of business communication.
  • SharePoint Site: Develop and maintain SharePoint site for Private Wealth serving as a central resource for frontline employees. This responsibility includes designing an intuitive and user-friendly interface that facilitates easy access to relevant information, resources, and tools that support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure that the site reflects the latest processes, best practices, and organizational changes, thereby keeping employees informed and engaged. Collaborate with various departments to gather and curate valuable resources, including training materials, process documentation, and feedback channels.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop and maintain productive relationships with designated business owners and enterprise support functions. Work closely with cross functional teams and stakeholders to identify challenges and develop tailored solutions that enable business effectiveness and drive growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with different departments and lines of business to ensure that improvement initiatives are aligned with organizational goals and that communication across teams is effective and supportive. While some responsibilities may overlap with resources from other lines of business, this role will facilitate introductions and connections to those resources, ensuring that frontline employees have access to the necessary support. It is important to note that that while the consultant will guide these interactions, they may not have direct control over the requirements or processes of other business units. The overarching goal of the role is to facilitate the collaboration and interpret the requirements effectively to the frontline.
  • Relationship & Partner Management: Develop and maintain productive relationships with designated business owners, other lines of businesses and enterprise support functions including, but not limited to, Business Management, Technology, Operations, Governance & Controls, Client and Account Services, Investments, Investments Oversight, Human Resources, Compliance, Fiduciary, Tax, and others as needed.
  • Change Advocacy: Serve as a change agent, facilitating discussions and feedback sessions that encourage open dialogue about improvements, challenges, and successes, thereby enhancing buy-in from employees at all levels.

Who You Are

  • You have a minimum bachelor’s degree.
  • You have 10 years communication experience in a financial services organization or leading communication or change management efforts in a related field.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • You can demonstrate strong team orientation, client service orientation, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills
  • You posses excellent judgment and ability to work independently
  • You are able to synthesize and streamline complex information into a line of business communication
  • You act as a steward for the CIBC PW vision of being a leader in client relationships and be the ‘go-to’ highest-quality private wealth management firm in North America. Be a positive, accessible and ongoing resource to frontline teams.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $160K - $180K for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
