What You’ll Be Doing

As a member of the US Learning and Development team, you will support the planning and execution of learning programs. You will manage administrative tasks related to learning and development, including scheduling and organizing both in-person (Chicago) and virtual training sessions and events, maintaining training records and databases, and preparing and distributing training materials. You will coordinate logistics and resources for training sessions, ensuring that all necessary materials and information are communicated to participants and stakeholders.

Additionally, you will assist in the evaluation and reporting of training outcomes to ensure continuous improvement and effectiveness of the learning programs. You will also work closely with our Enterprise counterparts to follow existing processes and align them with US regulations and new ways of working.

You will have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Event planning and coordination: Demonstrate strong organizational skills to effectively plan and coordinate both in-person and virtual training sessions. Ensure all logistics and resources are in place for successful execution.
  • Administrative excellence: Manage administrative tasks with precision, including maintaining training records and databases, preparing and distributing training materials, and handling communications with participants and stakeholders.
  • Reporting and evaluation: Assist in the evaluation and reporting of training outcomes to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Provide detailed reports to leadership to support decision-making.
  • Communication skills: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey training details and updates to participants and stakeholders. Foster strong relationships to ensure smooth coordination and collaboration.
  • LMS proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Workday or other similar platforms to manage and deliver training programs effectively.

  • You have a Bachelor's degree Human Resources, Communications or in a relevant field.
  • You have 2-4 years of experience and working knowledge of event planning, administrative tasks, and Learning Management Systems.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $70,000 - $75,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
