Job Description :
We are looking for a highly skilled Mainframe Developer with 4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Mainframe programming and development, with hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM. As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical Mainframe applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and perform optimally.
Key Responsibilities :
- Application Development : Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM to meet business requirements.
- System Analysis : Work with business analysts to understand project requirements, system specifications, and business needs, and translate them into technical solutions.
- Code Implementation : Write efficient, maintainable, and optimized code for batch jobs, online transaction processing (OLTP), and other system processes.
- Testing and Debugging : Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure that applications run effectively and efficiently.
- System Integration : Integrate Mainframe applications with other systems and platforms as necessary, ensuring smooth data flow and system interoperability.
- Troubleshooting and Support : Provide production support for Mainframe applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Documentation : Maintain clear and concise technical documentation for code, processes, and system configurations.
- Continuous Improvement : Participate in code reviews, follow best practices, and contribute to ongoing improvements in system design and development processes.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including other developers, testers, and project managers, to deliver quality solutions on time.
- Mainframe Modernization : Contribute to initiatives that aim to modernize and optimize legacy Mainframe systems, including integrating new tools or methodologies.
