Cibes|Symmetry is currently recruiting for Mechanical Assembler's at our Roanoke, IL Facility.
This is a 1st shift position: 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays for a few hours depending on our workload.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Task
Using a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment, the incumbent will perform a series of operations to correctly assemble and/or test elevator parts or units. The incumbent may work alone or part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Mechanical Assembler
- Production and Processing knowledge
- Knowledge and skilled with the use of hand and power tools
- Comprehension of blueprints and technical specifications
- Assemble components with the use of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Use visual inspection techniques to verify quality of product
- Safely use any special tooling and lifting devices provided
- Move finished assemblies and place in shipping container free of damage
- Assist in troubleshooting efficiency and effectiveness
- Communicate with other team members and shifts
- Maintain a clean, safe work area free of foreign materials
- Participate in training and cross-training efforts as needed
- Other duties as assigned
All candidates must pass a drug screen and necessary tests for position.
