We are hiring Fire Alarm Installers to perform pre-wiring and terminations on a data center project. This role requires experience with 18/2 fire wire, Cat 6, and terminations, with no programming required. Candidates should be proficient in installing fire alarm systems and have experience working with strobes, sirens, exit signs, fire alarm panels, and other fire alarm devices. This position offers a clear career progression path, starting with learning materials and parts at the lift and advancing into pulling and terminating wiring for fire alarm and low-voltage systems.
Responsibilities
Install fire alarm systems and components, including strobes, sirens, exit signs, fire alarm panels, and fire alarm devices.
Pull and terminate 18/2 fire wire, Cat 6, and other low-voltage cabling.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and product manuals.
Terminate field devices, including smoke detectors, strobes, and pull stations.
Resolve problems by researching multiple alternatives on a regular basis.
Provide on-site assistance to customers, addressing their questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
Ensure proper wire management and organization.
Keep management informed of project status through effective communication.
Complete All Necessary Company Paperwork As Required.
Work alongside a team to complete installations efficiently.
Preferred Certifications & Experience
NICET Level 1 in Fire Alarms (preferred for experienced installers).
BICSI Certifications (valid/non-expired preferred).
Preference given to candidates with industry-related certifications or the ability to obtain certification within one year of hire.
Experience with manufacturers such as Edwards/EST, Kidde, Notifier, FireLite, Bosch, Gamewell, and other fire life safety systems.
Expertise in programming EST, Kidde, Gamewell, or Notifier.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay: $22-$28/hr, based on experience and certifications.
