Job Description
As a Warehouse Associate for a commercial low-voltage contractor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and supporting our projects. You will be responsible for various tasks including inventory control, warehouse organization, equipment maintenance, and vendor interaction. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage inventory control by ordering parts and ensuring adequate stock levels of tools, ladders, and other equipment.
Maintain the organization of the warehouse to facilitate efficient order fulfillment and storage.
Perform general warehouse maintenance tasks to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
Coordinate the ordering or renting of equipment as needed for projects.
Arrange pickups and drop-offs of materials and equipment to and from job sites.
Collaborate with prefabrication teams to ensure timely assembly and distribution of parts to designated locations.
Interact with vendors to procure parts, tools, and other necessary supplies.
Be present at the shop location daily, serving as a local point of contact for warehouse operations.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a commercial or construction environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills for vendor interaction and team collaboration.
Proficiency in basic computer applications for inventory management and order tracking.
Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as work in various warehouse conditions.
Must be located in Orange County or in close proximity for daily attendance at the shop location.
