What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiter - Cambridge, MA position at CIC?

If you love the feeling of finding and placing top talent, want to work in a collaborative and supportive team, and are interested in rewarding work with the opportunity to advance your knowledge, skills and career in a great working environment, we’ve got a perfect role for you.  Your responsibilities as a Talent Acquisition Recruiter include sourcing candidates through various channels, planning interviews and selection procedures, screening and interviewing candidates, guiding stakeholders through their time in our search process, and looking for new ways to keep us doing better. You will develop long-term recruiting strategies and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires and hiring managers as part of your successful efforts in this role.   YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK As a Talent Acquisition Recruiter, you will manage a portfolio of searches, driving complex processes forward from start to finish, including engaging with prospective candidates, conducting interviews remotely and onsite, collecting paperwork, answering follow-up questions, and successfully filling open roles. Throughout, you will facilitate engagement with your colleagues on the Talent Team and across the organization, and remain connected with candidates through written and live interactions.  Potential responsibilities will include: • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, and partner with them in conducting interviews and contributing to hiring decisions. • Source candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks). • Manage, review and assess candidate information and submitted materials such as resumes and portfolios of work, using our Applicant Tracking System. • Plan and execute competency-based interview and selection strategies and procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person interviews, partnering with TA Coordinators on each search. • Edit and organize job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements. • Foster long-term relationships with applicants and potential candidates. • Participate fully in team projects, initiatives, and dialogues as part of our continuous improvement efforts. • Work on an international team and with candidates and HMs cross-culturally.  Expectations:  Hours: This job is typically a 9-5, though some off-hours work may be necessitated. Our candidates deserve the best, and sometimes that means responding to urgent, time-sensitive issues during non-business hours.   Travel: This position is based in Cambridge, MA, and supports staff and clients across U.S. CIC locations. Talent Acquisition team members sometimes travel to other CIC offices, but travel is not mandatory.  Work from Home: You will be expected to work from the office three days a week, and you will be able to work from home two days a week.  Physical activities on the job: Frequent use of hands for fine motor work and mid to full vision. This position regularly includes hosting candidates, necessitating moving around our spaces. This position requires significant time working on a computer and navigating between different documents and platforms.  ABOUT YOU You are an articulate, ethical individual who thinks critically, understands the nuances of effective communication, and are interested in a career contributing to the Talent Acquisition function for a growing global organization. You are a creative thinker and proactive problem solver.   You are also:  • Capable of leading initiatives with autonomy as well as working closely with colleagues in a highly-collaborative environment. • Enthusiastic about building relationships with candidates and guiding them graciously through the interview process. • Skilled at coordination, exhilarated by process challenges, and willing to perform an array of administrative tasks coupled with an ability to play “back-up” to the responsibilities of more senior members of the team. • Able to work comfortably with everyone, treating everyone as an equal. • Professionally successful, understanding lessons only challenging situations or failure can teach. • Curious and excited to learn about the world of recruiting at CIC, and comfortable asking for help when faced with uncertain situations. • Comfortable with online and digital tools. Willing to be flexible and try different approaches to best get the work done. • Committed to work that you consider “mission” based, and able to see your work as an opportunity to make a powerful contribution to a larger effort. • Committed to counteracting the inequities caused by biased hiring practices, with demonstrated understanding of unconscious bias. YOU HAVE • At least one year of work experience as a recruiter or in a similar role. • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting that uses competency-based interview techniques and evaluation methods to contribute to hiring decisions. • Knowledge and use of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). • Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written, and interpersonal skills. • Excellent organizational and time management skills tested in a fast-paced environment. • Extensive practice at multitasking, prioritizing daily workload, and problem solving on the fly.  • A positive, “can do” attitude.  It’s a plus, though not necessary, if you also have any of the following: • Knowledge of multiple sourcing methods and using social media and professional networks for recruiting. • Other experience with or exposure to the types of projects relevant to our work, e.g. DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging) initiatives, strategic sourcing to build diverse pools of candidates for any role, partnership development, Candidate Experience, Employer Value Proposition development, data and metrics activities, and outreach planning and execution. • Knowledge of other languages.   If you don't meet all the requirements or qualifications but bring other unique skills and experience that would be valuable in this role, please apply and highlight those attributes for us in your cover letter.   OUR OFFER • Starting compensation is $70,000. • 100% company-paid premium healthcare and dental benefits. • 100% company-paid long- and short-term disability, and life insurance. • 401k (must be 21 ) with percentage match after one year. • 3 weeks of vacation from the start (more with seniority), plus thirteen paid holidays. • Laptop and mobile phone as your working tools. • Regular evaluation of your work, and salary raises every year based on performance.   ATTRACTIONS OF THE JOB In addition to helping our clients achieve great things, we work to ensure that our employees are healthy and supported.  Some of the benefits of being here include:  • Fun people in a dynamic space.
