Occasional Meal Site Representative Marion County
Part Time: 9am to 1pm
The Meal Site Representative (MSR) is responsible for the daily lunch service at the meal site. This includes following food safety guidelines, reheating the meals provided by our caterers, serving the meals to our participants, and daily administrative work. MSR’s also responsible with providing more than a meal to our participants by establishing a welcoming environment, providing nutrition education, and guiding meal participants to additional CICOA resources and programming to benefit their overall wellness. The Meal Site Representatives and Occasional Representatives will report to an assigned Meal Site Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Establish a good relationship with host/meal site staff.
2. Serve lunch to meal site participants and guests.
3. Maintain cleanliness of meal site.
4. Enroll meal site participants in program and call enrollments into main office.
5. Follow all Board of Health guidelines and Food Safety procedures.
6. Check emails daily on meal site tablet.
7. Enter clock in and clock out time each working day.
8. Maintain a weekly meal reservation record to call in meal orders.
9. Take inventory of meal site supplies as needed and place orders for supplies.
10. Receive meals and supply deliveries from caterers and count/check to ensure correct orders.
11. Complete daily scans to track meal site participants.
12. Present Nutrition Education to meal participants each month.
13. Attend mandatory bi-annual meetings.
14. Collect, secure, and count contributions with a staff member, where applicable.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Meal Site Representative oversees volunteers who assist with meal service. Responsibilities include training volunteers, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
