Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Location: Denton, North Carolina
Overview: Construction Implements Depot, LLC (“CID”), a portfolio company of LFM Capital, is a premier manufacturer of attachments for skid steers and tractors used primarily in construction. CID produces over 700 unique SKUs across diverse product lines, including buckets, grapples, brush cutters, disc mulchers, brooms, and stump grinders. The company specializes in cutting and forming steel, machining, MIG welding, powder coating, and assembly.
Job Description: The Continuous Improvement Engineer will assist in the development and execution of CID’s process improvement initiatives, aiming to enhance key metrics such as safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost. This role will collaborate with various teams to identify areas for improvement and help implement solutions. Key responsibilities will include analyzing existing processes, participating in improvement projects, tracking performance data, and helping to promote a culture of ongoing improvement. The position will also involve supporting training efforts for employees on effective problem-solving and process optimization techniques. Ideal candidates will have experience in analyzing processes and implementing practical solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment, with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
- Experience with process documentation, including creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Proficient in Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, process mapping, and Standard Work
- Experience with ERP systems and data management tools (Epicor ERP experience a plus)
- Ability to analyze data and KPIs to identify trends, areas for improvement, and track progress
- Participation in training and coaching team members on Lean principles and tools
- Familiarity with using data analysis software and tools to support decision-making
Schedule: 7am-4pm (approximately 45-50hrs / week)
