Job Title: Continuous Improvement Manager
Location: Denton, North Carolina
Overview: Construction Implements Depot, LLC (“CID”), a portfolio company of LFM Capital, is a premier manufacturer of attachments for skid steers and tractors used primarily in construction. CID produces over 700 unique SKUs across diverse product lines, including buckets, grapples, brush cutters, disc mulchers, brooms, and stump grinders. The company specializes in cutting and forming steel, machining, MIG welding, powder coating, and assembly.
Job Description: The Director of Continuous Improvement will lead the development and execution of CID’s continuous improvement program. Focused on enhancing key metrics such as safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost, this role will collaborate closely with the leadership team to set operational priorities and drive site-wide improvements. Responsibilities will include identifying opportunities for process optimization, leading cross-functional teams, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The position also involves training and coaching employees, overseeing process improvement projects, and ensuring initiatives align with CID's strategic goals. Ideal candidates will have experience in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing
- 2-4 years in a leadership or managerial role focused on continuous improvement
- Proven experience driving large-scale process improvements across multiple departments or sites
- Experience in leading teams to implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong understanding of data analysis, root cause analysis, and the ability to use data to drive decisions
- Demonstrated success in improving safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery metrics
- Experience with ERP systems and data management tools (Epicor ERP experience a plus)
- Passionate about teaching and coaching
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification (preferred)
Schedule: 7am-4pm (approximately 45-50hrs / week)
