The Lead Superintendent will oversee the construction project from start to finish, ensuring that all aspects of the contract documents are enforced and obligations to the project are met. This includes understanding and verifying the scope and schedule of work for assigned trades, as well as making necessary changes to the construction process to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with at least 10-15 years of experience managing multiple phases of mid to large-sized ground-up commercial building projects. They will be responsible for directing the work of subcontractors and suppliers, expediting materials and equipment, and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC).
In addition to their technical skills, the Lead Superintendent will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to present information to trade partners using various tools such as telephone, written logs, email, and mobile devices. They will also have strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
