DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- *Helping Teachers with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up equipment
- *Reviewing lessons or lectures with students on a one-on-one basis or in small groups
- *Supervising students in class, between classes and during recreation periods and field trips
- *Giving extra help to students who need special accommodations or are struggling with a concept
- *Assisting students with special learning requirements, including disabilities or English and Spanish as a second language students
- *Attending faculty meetings and parent conferences
- *Duties-lunch and before or after school
- *Observing state, school and class rules and regulations
Qualifications
- *Substitute and Educational Assistant license in the state of New Mexico-or ability to acquire one
- *Experience working with children in educational settings
- *Proficiency in Spanish preferred/Bilingual
- *Strong classroom management and communication skills
- *Familiarity with lesson planning and literacy education
- *Ability to work with students with diverse needs in a dual-language classroom
