C&I Engineering is looking for a talented and driven individual to join our team!

We are currently seeking a full-time Staff Power & Controls Engineer in our office to help us achieve our company mission. C&I is a full-service engineering design firm providing engineering / design / project management and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits.

Responsibilities include :

  • Prepares complete design packages, including construction scope of work, for complex projects that meet design intents and customer expectations. Designs are well coordinated with other departments.
  • Creates lists of engineering deliverables and tasks, and estimates effort hours for same, based on limited scopes of work for complex projects.
  • The Staff Power & Controls Engineer serves as a mentor to junior staff. Assists in training and development of others. Identifies training needs to department chief.
  • Creates plan of execution for large and complex projects, anticipating the sequence of tasks, long lead and special items for engineering procurement cycle, and dependencies of information from others.
  • Works within project team to integrate department plan into a multi-discipline project plan of execution.
  • As a Staff Power & Controls Engineer, this individual prepares computer analyses and calculations.
  • Uses vendor documents, coordination prints, surveys, and models to check dimensions, determine interface points, determine physical space requirements, and provide information to other departments.
  • Helps develop P&IDs and create typical electrical and instrumentation design documents.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a four-year ABET accredited engineering program with a minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally to offices, vendor shops, and project sites. Travel may be up to 10%.
  • Must comply with drug-free workplace requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and pass any required background checks.
  • Performs work in a safe manner in accordance with C&I and client requirements.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
