What are the responsibilities and job description for the Risk & Underwriting Senior Analyst position at Cigna Health & Life Ins. Co.?
Responsibilities
Underwrites an inforce book of business and new business quotes, focused on attaining profitable growth, persistency, and earnings.
Performs case-specific risk assessments.
Responsible for account level rate development and conducting sales strategy discussions with internal business partners.
Proficient with manual rating pricing methodologies and new business and renewal pricing strategies.
Responsible for an assigned book of business consisting of accounts in our SME (Small-to-Medium Employer) segment.
Works directly with Sales and Client Management teams on new business quotes and renewals, requires the ability to articulate our pricing strategies, risk concerns, and underwriting analysis.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent work experience
1 years of underwriting, finance or related experience strongly preferred
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Analytical and financial acumen
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Success in multi-tasking environment
Detail oriented and team player
