Overview Of Position Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for working closely with Cigna Healthcare’s National Accounts (NA) business leaders to help develop and activate meeting strategies and agendas for NA’s internal and external events, including National Accounts Forum, Client Advisory Board, and other large NA sponsored/owned events. The individual will represent the needs of the business in ensuring these events align to the segment’s business strategies and stated goals and will work closely with event planners to determine the best ways to achieve those goals.
Key Responsibilities
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 113,600 - 189,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate and manage relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners to understand business needs and identify strategic goals for NA events.
- Develop comprehensive event plans that align with company objectives and target audiences and that consider all stakeholders’ interests and ensures the event’s success.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (marketing, communications, events COE) to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Research target audiences, understand their preferences and motivations, and use this knowledge to help create an effective event plan.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative event elements.
- Align with Marketing and Events COE to propose creative event formats and experiences to enhance attendee engagement.
- Conduct participant needs analyses to ensure event relevance and value.
- Research market and industry trends that will impact event performance.
- Other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of work experience in business planning or corporate events required.
- Ability to articulate how—and by how much—an event drives growth, efficiency, and loyalty for the business and brand.
- Strong strategic thinking skills to develop effective event strategies; deep understanding of the business and what targeted audiences value.
- Strong skills in problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration.
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple events and stakeholders simultaneously within deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Understanding of marketing principles to effectively promote events and achieve desired outcomes.
- Requires travel (~15-20% of time) and off-hours projects.
- Experience using advanced functions of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
