Role Description
This is a contract role for a Senior Quality Assurance Test Engineer located in the Dallas Area on-site role. The QA Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for automation testing, overseeing manual testing, creating test cases, conducting software testing, and collaborating with software development teams.
Position Responsibilities:
- Automate testing of SOAP and REST APIs using automated testing framework/tools using one or more of the following tools: Postman, and Visual Studios, SOAP APIs in JSON and XML schema.
- Script and execute advanced Power Queries and Excel Commands.
- Automate scripting and executing automated tests using C#, Playwright, and JavaScript.
- Create test cases according to standards - manual and automated, participating in Peer Reviews, and modifying test cases based on Peer Review feedback.
- Perform problem-solving and root-cause analysis when defects occur.
- Flag test cases appropriate for regression suite.
Qualifications
- Quality Assurance and Software Testing skills
- Manual Testing and Test Cases expertise
- Experience in software development processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of automated testing tools is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Requirement gathering and Writing story cards in Jira
- Working experience in Agile
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience with data testing frameworks and internal tools.
- Proficient in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, and TypeScript for automation purposes.
- Experience with Windows applications and UI automation.
- Strong experience with Excel and Power Queries.
- Ability to work with large datasets effectively.
- Familiarity with GitHub for version control.
- Knowledge or experience preferred in integrating automated test cases with CI/CD toolset.
- Knowledge or experience preferred in automated testing of SOAP and REST APIs using automated testing framework/tools using one or more of the following tools: ReadyAPI, Visual Studios, IntelliJ.
