Job Summary:
As a Line Cook at Cilantro Taco Grill, you play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of food quality, preparation, and presentation. You will be responsible for cooking and preparing all menu items in accordance with Cilantro Taco Grill’s recipes and specifications. Attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment are crucial in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items to order, following specific methods that require quick assembly and execution.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
- Coordinate food orders to support timely and efficient delivery to each customer.
- Ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards to ensure guest safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Clean and maintain stations in practicing good safety and sanitation.
- Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
- Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the prep cook and manager.
General Expectations:
- Capable of following recipes and presentation specifications.
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
