Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled VMware Consultant to support and optimize our VMware vSphere environment in a hybrid cloud and on-premise setup. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams to enhance virtualization infrastructure, integrate VMware with Azure, and manage storage and disaster recovery solutions. This contract role requires deep expertise in VMware technologies, Azure services, and data center operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• VMware vSphere Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting, optimization, and management of vCenter and ESXi Hosts.
• Storage Management: Configure and maintain VMFS storage, integrate Nimble Storage with VMware, and manage Zerto for disaster recovery.
• Azure Integration: Assist in VMware-Azure hybrid cloud setup, ensuring seamless interoperability.
• Disaster Recovery & Backup: Implement and manage backup solutions, including Azure Backup and Zerto replication.
• Data Center & Bare Metal Management: Optimize on-premise data center infrastructure and bare metal servers.
• Linux System Management: Support Linux-based environments within VMware and Azure.
• Infrastructure Deployment: Build and deploy VMware and hybrid cloud environments in vSphere and Azure.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve VMware-related issues, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create detailed technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Job Requirements:

Experience:

• Extensive experience managing VMware vSphere environments.
• Hands-on expertise with vCenter and ESXi Hosts.
• Strong knowledge of VMFS storage management.
• Experience integrating Nimble Storage with VMware.
• Proven background in Zerto disaster recovery and Azure Backup solutions.
• Expertise in storage technologies (blobs, iSCSI, Zerto, etc.).
• Experience managing bare metal servers and on-premise data center infrastructure.
• Comfortable working in Linux-based environments.
• Proficiency in VMware-Azure hybrid cloud deployments.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of VMware technologies (ESXi, vCenter, vSphere).
• Knowledge of Azure services, networking, and hybrid cloud architecture.
• Advanced troubleshooting and performance optimization for VMware infrastructures.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and environments.
