SUMMARY:
Works under the general supervision of the Cimarron Casino Enterprises Surveillance Manager and responsible for surveillance of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma owned casinos. Monitors gaming floor providing asset protection, detect crimes, violations, and disturbances, using video and/or audio surveillance equipment. Monitors and reports observations by generating reports, in accordance with department policies and procedures. This position has access to extremely sensitive information and the incumbent must adhere to Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma confidentiality policy
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Surveillance Supervisor is responsible for managing the Surveillance operations on an assigned shift. The Supervisor shall assist in identifying training needs, monitors attendance, and assist in the evaluation of Surveillance personnel. Reviews and approves shift reports and logs. Sending out required correspondence on a daily basis. Ensures Tribal assets are protected, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies, procedures and applicable laws. May assist in interviewing and training of new Surveillance personnel.
Responsible for carrying out the duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Surveillance Supervisor and Management. (The following is used as a partial description and is not restrictive as to duties required.)
- Perform all duties of the Surveillance Officer when necessary;
- Applies positive communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with management and co-workers at all times;
- Continually observes, evaluates and reports to the Manager recommended training;
- Analyzes information concerning the operation of the facilities and its equipment;
- Ensures overall professional work environment;
- Train and direct staff on the Surveillance System;
- Assign daily shift work;
- Approves shifts daily reports, logs, and investigations.
- Correspond with necessary casino personnel to ensure compliance with all required regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining shift schedule.
- Assists the Manager in interviewing, selecting and training.
- Responsible for evaluating and disciplining shift officers.
- Update and maintain records that would include, but not limited to; attendance, vacations, leaves, discipline, and training;
- Ensures excellent communication between Surveillance and all other casino departments.
- Assist in the management of Surveillance Division personnel to ensure appropriate performance of their duties;
- Delegate workload as appropriate to cover duties in a fair manner.
- May occasionally work with outside regulatory or law enforcement officials.
- Is reasonable for evaluating, promoting, disciplining and coaching shift staff.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work anytime including evening, weekends and holidays;
- Extended working hours, shift work, and ability to provide shift coverage as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Manual hand dexterity for operation of cameras, computers, and completing paperwork
- Successfully complete/ pass pre-employment drug screening and Background Clearance;
- Meet and maintain licensing standards/guidelines to qualify for a key gaming license.
- Possession of a valid Oklahoma Drivers License.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma and/or equivalent (required) AND 6 months experience in law enforcement, security, or surveillance preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Gaming experience preferred.
Supervisor experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to be in a sedentary position for long periods. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or climb stairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment is typically smoky.
