Cimarron is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.
Key Duties
- Provide Tier II technical support for Windows and Linux operating systems, resolving software, hardware, and related IT issues.
- Deliver end-user assistance at workstations, docking stations, and other IT assets, addressing hardware and software concerns.
- Analyze system logs to identify performance issues, detect negative trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- Identify security vulnerabilities in software and hardware platforms and recommend appropriate mitigations.
- Respond to routine inquiries regarding installation, configuration, and usage of assigned products.
- Use diagnostic techniques to investigate issues and provide solutions for common system failures.
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior Linux and Windows engineers as needed.
- Support additional cybersecurity tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education :
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at the time.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Ability to obtain a current DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification within 6 months of hire.
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 or more years of related experience, or Associate degree.
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
