Cimarron is seeking a Flight Software Verification Lead to support the StarLab program in Houston, TX. The selected candidate for this opportunity will lead, develop, and execute software verification for the program.
Key Duties
- Lead and define the flight software verification plans and procedures, and execute a robust verification campaign to ensure the safety and security of the StarLab flight software.
- Be responsible for flight software integration into various integration environments.
- Serve as a significant contributor to programmatic flight software reviews.
- Support flight software certification activities surrounding the flight software infrastructure.
- Present flight software verification technical topics to internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply systems engineering fundamentals to ensure the flight software verification meets stakeholder needs.
- Perform software verification "hands-on" tasks as dictated by resource and schedule needs, such as artifact reviews, verification plan development, verification procedures, verification execution, verification anomaly resolution, and preparing and presenting certification artifacts.
- Contribute to resource planning, schedule development, and schedule metrics of software schedules.
- Identify risks, provide risk mitigation strategies, and review impacts to schedules and budgets.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education :
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- 5 or more years of experience leading and coordinating distributed teams
- 10 or more years of experience leading software verification campaigns for human-rated systems in highly regulated environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for building a software verification campaign that will simultaneously improve software development speed and quality.
- Familiarity with NPR 7150.2 NASA Software Engineering Requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Ability to integrate across a wide range of technical disciplines.
- Ability to work on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solutions.
- Bachelor's degree and 20 or more years of related experience, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Experience with human-rated space system software.
- Familiarity with NASA cFS (Core Flight Systems) software.
- Experience with hardware/software interfaces.
