Key Duties
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to technical requirements.
- Approve engineering drawings and verify procurement purchases to align with project needs.
- Develop and execute test procedures for functional verification of circuit boards, electrical panels, sub-systems, and components.
- Design and implement industrial automation solutions, including PLC programming using ladder logic or equivalent methodologies.
- Support engineering design changes due to procurement limitations, including sourcing obsolete parts and approving new designs.
- Oversee engineers and technicians from an operations standpoint, ensuring workflow efficiency.
- Track long-lead items to prevent project delays and ensure procurement alignment.
- Evaluate project budgets and employee workload distribution for effective resource management.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education :
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- 5 or more years of Electrical Engineering experience.
- Experience in industrial automation and PLC programming (ladder logic or equivalent).
- Understanding of all engineering discipline drawings and electrical discipline wiring diagrams, system descriptions, system calculations, schematics, and electrical equipment layout.
- Ability to be a self-starter and capable of independent creative design, with direction, using customer and industry-proven concepts and procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work well with others and within a team.
- Experience developing documentation for Conceptual, Preliminary, and Final Design as an Electrical Engineer.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and electrical equipment layouts.
- Working knowledge of electrical equipment specification and material requisition process.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited course of study.
- Active Secret Clearance or higher.
- 1 or more years of project engineering or project management experience.
- Experience with SPICE tools, MATLAB, or Simulink applications.
- Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and/or IPC-J-STD-001H.
