job details ats requisition description} Cimarron is seeking aSenior Software Safety and Assurance Engineer to support NASA Safety and Mission Assurance (SandMA) in Houston, TX. The selected candidate will support Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) software products supporting spaceflight to ensure they are safe, reliable, and capable of performing required functions. GFE projects fall under the International Space Station, Artemis / Orion, Gateway Lunar Outpost, Extravehicular Activity, and various other NASA initiatives. Our products include : Analysis / assessment reportsSafety data package inputsDocumented comments, issues, and discrepanciesProduct inspection / review resultsAnalysis and recommendations for NASA / SAIC management via milestone and product reviews, program panels / boards and Certificate of Flight Readiness (CoFR)Drafting proceduresThis role primarily offers someremoteflexibility, though candidates should be prepared to provide onsite support for major meetings and training sessions, approximately 10% of the time.Key Duties : Perform software / computerized control system safety analysis for flight and ground systems and document the contribution to the risk of the overall system.Ensure safety requirements are incorporated into software / computerized control products through all product life cycle phases, including development and testing.Ensure end-to-end traceability, in support of formal verification, requiring continuous collaboration with other technical disciplines.Assess software / computerized control development, test, verification, process documentation, products, and processes.Identify issues and non-compliances.Perform analysis (e.g., code test coverage, static analysis) to ensure compliance with program safety requirements (e.g., program Computer Based Controls System Safety Requirements) and applicable NASA standards (NPR 7150.2, NASA-STD-8739.8B).Ensure safety-related trouble reports are tracked, prioritized, and resolved promptly. : : : Required / Desired Skills, Experience, and Education : : : {#job details ats requisition requirements} Required Skills, Experience, and Education : Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.Experience developing hazard analysis for computing systems (hardware combined with software).Experiencesupporting the certification of complex, critical computerized control systems safety for systems containing software or programmable electronics, including implementation of technical requirements for safety.Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or another technical field with sufficient related education and / or experience.Bachelor's degree and 9 or more years of related experience, Master's degree and 7 or more years of related experience, or Ph.D. and 4 or more years of related experience.Desired Skills, Experience, and Education : Proficiency in modeling and simulation techniques.Experience with distributed software control systems.Expertise in fault management strategies.Familiarity with Unified Modeling Language (UML) for system design and documentation.Experience with Time-Triggered Ethernet (TTE) technology.Business Profile : Cimarron is a global solutions company with a strategic partnering approach to satisfying customer-driven requirements.
