What are the responsibilities and job description for the Configuration Management Analyst position at Cimarron Software?
Cimarron is seeking a Senior Configuration Management Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at the Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.
Key Duties:
- Develop and maintain Configuration Management (CM) processes and procedures for C2BMC Labs and Warfighters (CLAW) in alignment with EIA-649C standards.
- Serve as the CM Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CLAW, overseeing CM Planning and Management, Configuration Identification, Change Management, Status Accounting, and Verification and Audit.
- Establish and maintain technical baselines, including requirements, architectural, and engineering documentation.
- Implement enterprise-level Configuration and Change Management processes, standards, and best practices.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and task orders to ensure standardization of CM principles across CLAW.
- Foster collaboration and integration of CM practices across all CLAW teams and functions.
- Provide support for testing events and key program exercises as needed.
- Work closely with IRES CM Analysts to support high-priority projects and refine program-wide CM strategies.
- Maintain and update CM documentation such as CM Plans, SOPs, and technical drawings across all enclaves.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively, delivering high-quality results within established timelines.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- 8 or more years of experience as an SME in Configuration Management.
- 2 or more years of experience in a management or leadership role.
- Experience with enterprise IT governance and/or change management.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to brief task order directors, senior military, and government officials.
- Excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Possesses teamwork skills and the ability to coordinate meetings and working groups.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to establish and define metrics and key performance indicators to identify areas of improvement in the configuration management program.
- High School diploma or equivalent and 14 or more years of experience, Associate degree and 12 or more years of experience, Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years of experience, or Master's degree.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
- Configuration Management (CM) certification.
- Subject Matter Expertise in EIA-649C Configuration Management Standards.
- Experience in risk management and quality assurance.
- Background in the space domain and/or IT operations.
- Experience supporting engineering and technical review boards.
- Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security CE, CySA ) or higher.
- Familiarity with data staging procedures and CM tools.
- Experience using the Remedy ITSM tool.
- Ability to collaborate with project managers and support various project needs.
- Understanding of software and hardware asset management.
