What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Techician position at Cimarron Software?
Cimarron is seeking a System Integration Lab Technician to support, build up, design, and implement the lab solution for the StarLab program. The StarLab SIL facility will support software development, systems integration, and software verification in support of the StarLab space station. This work will be performed in Houston, Texas.
Key Duties:
- Responsible for designing and implementing lab facility configurations, prepping for test runs, prepping support equipment, and maintaining lab support equipment using a disciplined approach.
- Present technical topics to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the application of appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools through the development life cycle.
- Contribute to resource planning, schedule development, and schedule metrics of lab schedules.
- Identify risks, provide risk mitigation strategies, and review impacts to schedules and budgets.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Ability to integrate across a wide range of technical disciplines.
- Experience leading and coordinating with distributed teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some college coursework completed and 10 or more years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Experience with manned-space system software and certification or analogous experience in other domains.
- Experience debugging hardware/software interfaces with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Experience with interface documents and drawings.
