What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician position at Cimarron Software?
Cimarron is seeking General Technicians to support the Executive Fleet program in San Antonio, TX. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to one of the most iconic aircraft in the world, ensuring the safety, reliability, and advanced capabilities. The selected candidates for this role will need to be able to support any shift assigned (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
Key Duties:
- Perform efforts associated with flight controls installation, removal, and rigging.
- Maintain landing gear and service the aircraft.
- Perform essential component change outs (ex. servo pumps, filters, engine components).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
- Access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate online parts and discrepancy requests.
- Prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
- Use Hazardous Energy and Lock Out /Tag systems applications to ensure the working environment is deemed safe for access and on-the-job performance.
- Use all equipment in accordance with established safety and operating procedures.
- Assist other team members (Avionics, Structures, Electrics) to ensure cost/schedule targets are met.
- Diagnose and correct malfunctions occurring in assembly processes.
- Use precision measuring instruments, gauges, tools, etc., necessary to check dimensions and conformance to quality requirements.
- Ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- This is a sensitive/safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.
- 1 or more year(s) of related aircraft/aerospace experience, or equivalent training/certification.
- Must be able to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays. Mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
- Ability to pass an assessment during the training cycle.
- Experience with depot-level/heavy general maintenance.
- Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits as required for assigned work.
- Experience working on various aircraft exteriors and interior systems, including hydraulic, flight control, monuments, landing gears, fuel systems, and engines.
- Experience working with blueprints, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Experience performing aircraft engine runs and engine borescope inspections.
- Ability to operate an aircraft tug/tow vehicle, forklift, mobile crane, and riding type electric-powered elevating equipment.
- Experience with REDARS and/or Gold-ESP.
