Description
The Regional Safety Manager reviews work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations. Will work to create and facilitate a culture of safety within manufacturing and field service operations in Texas and New Mexico. The work division is estimated to be:
- 50% field-related (NM, Permian, and Eagle Ford)
- 30% Shop (Midland)
- 20% (Admin, Certified Safety Trainings, Fleet, and Meetings)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Conduct authorized level OSHA, EPA, and customer required safety and health training to various field service professionals in multiple fields of operations, educating employees on safe working practices, appropriate equipment operation, and emergency procedures.
- Tracking and recertifying of all authorized safety training for field service professionals.
- Conducts field audits and inspects the workplace and identifies and addresses potential safety hazards.
- Investigates incidents or accidents, gathers, and analyzes statistics, and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Prepares and submits accident reports in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor employees and operations to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
- Inspect equipment and machinery in the shop and field to assure safe working conditions.
- Prepare, enforce, and train on policies to maintain a culture of safety.
- Other QHSE assignments as assigned.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Experience in gas monitoring and safety.
- Knowledge in Oil and Gas industry.
- Four (4) to six (6) years of applicable QHSE experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Train the Trainer Certifications - Forklift, First Aid/CPR/AED, Mobil & Overhead Crane, PEC Safeland, PEC H2S, ARC Flash, Confined Space, Fall Arrest, Aerial Lift, Lockout/Tagout and or other safety training programs.
- Experience in 3rd party contractor safety management companies.
