Position Summary
CIMCO is looking for a Piping Foreman who would be involved in accurately interpreting spool drawings and blueprints, maintaining a clean and safe shop environment, holding safety meetings, completing required documents for safety/quality control measures, and supporting the Superintendent in coordinating material deliveries and ensuring quality workmanship. This position is crucial in upholding CIMCO’s safety and quality standards throughout all shop operations.
Role Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting spool drawings and blueprints
Assist Superintendent with material and consumable deliveries
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly shop
Receive, inventory, and document equipment and material deliveries
Verify and inspect welds daily
Ensure all work is executed with an emphasis on quality
Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
2 - 4 years of relevant experience.
Welding Certification (AWS) is considered an asset.
Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and spool drawings.
Strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of CIMCO safety and quality procedures.
Ability to maintain a clean and orderly shop environment.
Experience with inventory management.
Attention to detail in verifying and inspecting welds.
Effective communication skills.
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
