Key Responsibilities
Medication Administration & Support:
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and timely, following physician orders and care plans.
- Maintain meticulous and up-to-date medication records, ensuring all documentation is clear and accurate.
- Monitor residents for potential side effects of medications, immediately reporting any adverse reactions to the appropriate personnel.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure continuous, high-quality care for all residents.
- Provide leadership and mentorship by training, supervising, and guiding MedTech staff to uphold the highest standards of care.
- Assist with personal care services, including hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities, to ensure residents' well-being.
- Conduct regular audits of medication carts and logs to ensure full compliance with state regulations and internal standards.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments and transportation for residents, ensuring timely access to necessary care.
- Will report to the administrator for duties.
- Maintain accurate and organized resident files, including electronic charting, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Support resident admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring all required documentation is processed smoothly and accurately.
- Assist in the development and implementation of personalized care plans that align with resident needs.
- Provide administrative support to the Administrator, helping with day-to-day tasks and ensuring efficient operations.
- Serve as the communication liaison between families, healthcare providers, and community staff, fostering strong relationships and clear communication.
- Monitor inventory and order medications and resident supplies as needed, ensuring adequate stock at all times.
- Prepare reports and documentation for management review, helping inform decisions that improve resident care.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Certified Medication Technician (CMT) or equivalent certification (Required).
- Previous experience in an assisted living or healthcare setting (Preferred).
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic administrative software.
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and dedicated to providing high-quality care to residents.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to respond to emergencies quickly and effectively.
- Tuesday - Saturday - AM Shift
- May include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proven experience as a MedTech, medication administrator, or similar role in a healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train staff to maintain high standards of care.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with experience in scheduling, electronic charting, and maintaining accurate records.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
