What are the responsibilities and job description for the Feature Production Assistant position at Cincinnati Bengals?
The Cincinnati Bengals are seeking a talented, seasonal Production Assistant to contribute to our story-focused video features and assist on our magazine-style show, Bengals Weekly. Someone with a demonstrated ability to conceive creative solutions and apply them to technical workflows. The ideal candidate would be an expert in storytelling editing and have a collaborative-minded attitude with large-scale projects… The goal being to become a creative leader in the National Football League.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Director of Productions, the Production Assistant would be an editor on story-focused video features
- Contributor for Bengals Weekly. Plan, shoot, edit, and distribute a finalized show to Bengals affiliates throughout the NFL season
- Coordinate with partnerships to execute sponsor activations related to feature edits and Bengals Weekly
- Shoot and edit coach and player interviews
- Shoot all training camp events, such as practice, autograph sessions, press conferences, and fan events.
- Shoot highlights of games
- Use Adobe Creative Suite to edit in-season social and web videos, such as Gameday Travel, Mic’d ups, Game Preview, Behind the Stripes, Laps Look, etc…
- Use media asset management software (Iconik) to ingest and log gameday and training camp footage, such as Wires, NFL Films, Radio Calls, club media highlights, and Network Melts.
- Set up the Bengals studio with proper lighting and equipment for video shoots, such as podcast recordings and interviews.
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Light office duties and activities.
- Will periodically be required to lift and carry production equipment totaling 50-75 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of professional video production experience including but not limited to camera operation, editing, writing, set lighting, and design.
- Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc).
- Prior experience in story-focused editing
- Demonstrate strong creative skills that can be applied to TV and digital production.
- Technical skills – Experience with cine-style cameras, Iconik or similar MAM, and studio equipment/lighting
- Must be a team player, willing and able to learn new concepts and processes, and willing to travel for shoots when necessary. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, as well as all Bengals games, home and away.
- Must provide Reel / Work Samples and References.
